Injection Injection of patient's fat into breast used to be popularly operated in Europe and U.S.A. since it is believe to be safe. However, some cons appear: 1. Fat preparation requires excellent skill and well sterilization. 2. This technique can be applied to only patient with enough fat. For example, if 100 cc. of prepared fat is required for injection into each breast, 300 - 400 cc. of fat needed. 3. The injected fat will mostly reduce to 50% within 6-12 months and will be completely gone after 1-2 years. 4. If the fat preparation is incomplete, fat may be solidified. Therefore, it will be difficult to identify whether it is the injected fat or tumor 5. Patient with fat injection is not recommended for implanting silicone jacket since it will cause breast solidification. The best application is to inject removable gel like polymer. |
